Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Compliance Framework Development

Design, implement, and maintain the company's compliance programs, policies, and procedures that align with local, national, and international regulatory requirements.

Regularly review existing compliance policies and practices to identify gaps and recommend necessary updates to ensure ongoing compliance across finance, tax, legal, HR, IT, and data privacy.

2. Regulatory Research and Updates

Stay up to date on global regulatory developments and industry best practices that impact IT companies, including but not limited to finance laws, tax obligations, employment regulations, IT security, data protection, and e-commerce laws.

Provide timely and actionable guidance on the implications of laws and regulations for business operations.

3. Risk Management and Internal Audits

Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks in areas such as finance, tax, HR, IT, and data privacy.

Collaborate with internal teams to perform periodic audits and internal controls to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Lead internal audits and investigations into compliance breaches, working with relevant departments to address issues and implement corrective actions

4. Training and Capacity Building

Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees, ensuring awareness and understanding of legal obligations, company policies, and best practices across finance, tax, HR, IT, and data protection.

Foster a culture of compliance through regular workshops and ongoing education across departments

5. Monitoring and Reporting

Continuously monitor compliance activities, ensuring corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.

Prepare regular compliance reports and updates for senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and recommended actions across multiple compliance areas

6. Advisory and Support

Act as a trusted advisor to various departments (Finance, HR, IT, Legal) by offering practical solutions to compliance challenges.

Provide clear guidance on legal, regulatory, and IT best practices, assisting departments in navigating complex compliance landscapes

7. Document Management

Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of compliance activities, audits, and internal reviews across finance, HR, IT, tax, and data protection.

Maintain organized compliance records in line with regulatory standards and best practices.

8. Collaboration Across Departments & external Partners

Collaborate with external legal advisors, auditors, regulators, and IT service providers to ensure compliance with industry standards and laws

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in law, Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, or a related field; a masters degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5-7 years) in compliance consulting or legal advisory roles, with a focus on finance, tax, IT, legal, HR, or data protection in IT or tech companies.
  • Strong knowledge of global compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI-DSS, anti-corruption laws, tax compliance).
  • Experience in risk assessment, regulatory analysis, and conducting audits across multiple compliance areas.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Compliance Professional (CCP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or other compliance-related certifications are highly desirable.

Skills & Experience:

  • Compliance Management: Extensive experience in managing compliance programs across legal, financial, HR, and tax domains.
  • Risk Management: Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and risk management frameworks.
  • Legal Expertise: Ability to interpret legal documents and translate them into practical compliance measures.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to evaluate compliance risks and devise effective solution
  • Financial and Tax Compliance: Familiarity with financial and tax reporting, accounting standards, and regulatory Page 4 of 5 requirements.
  • HR Compliance: Strong knowledge of labor law, workplace safety, employee relations, and HR best practices.
  • Technology Proficiency: Experience with compliance management software, financial reporting tools, and GRC software.

• Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to ensuring corporate compliance.

• Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments to ensure compliance.

• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with compliance tools and software (e.g., GRC platforms, legal research databases, data protection tools).

• Ethics and Integrity: High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to ensuring corporate compliance.

• Undertake such other assignments as required in furtherance of the Departments mandate.
