THE ROLE

The Community Resource Person (CRP) is an entry-level, field-based role that supports the day-to-day on-ground implementation of the community-based education programme at the community level. You will work closely with children, families, and local stakeholders to mobilise participation, track key follow-ups, and support smooth delivery of planned activities. Execute field activities and share regular updates with the Block Program Coordinator (BPC), who will plan, manage stakeholders at block level, and supervise quality and targets.

What success looks like:

  • Families and children participate consistently in planned sessions/meetings.
  • Regular home visits and follow-ups happen as per plan, with clear documentation.
  • Children who are absent/at risk are identified early and followed up quickly.
  • Field data is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
  • Issues are escalated early to the BPC with clear context.

WHAT YOU LL ACTUALLY DO

1) Community Outreach Mobilisation (Execution-focused)

  • Conduct door-to-door outreach and mobilise families for programme activities (meetings, sessions, events).
  • Build friendly, respectful relationships with parents/caregivers and community members.
  • Support awareness conversations on education, attendance, inclusion, and child participation (using programme messages/materials).

2) Child-Level Follow-up Tracking (On-ground support)

  • Maintain a simple list of children in the assigned area and track participation/attendance as per formats shared.
  • Identify children who are frequently absent or at risk of dropping out and conduct timely home follow-ups.
  • Understand common barriers (health, seasonal migration, household work, financial stress, stigma) and

    report them to the BPC

    for resolution planning.

3) Support for CwSN Participation (Basic identification + referrals via BPC)

  • Help identify children who may need additional support, including CwSN, and share observations with the BPC.
  • Support families with basic information and accompany them for referrals/meetings

    when guided by the BPC

  • Promote respectful inclusion in the community and help reduce stigma through positive conversations.

4) Session/Event Support (Logistics + participation)

  • Support smooth execution of planned community sessions or school/community events: mobilisation, venue readiness, attendance, materials, basic facilitation support.
  • Take photos and basic documentation as per programme requirements (with consent).

5) Data Reporting (Discipline + accuracy)

  • Fill in registers/formats for home visits, attendance, session participation, and referrals.
  • Submit weekly updates to the BPC in the required format (WhatsApp/email/printed forms).
  • Flag urgent issues immediately (child protection concerns, repeated absence, high-risk situations) to the BPC.

WHO WE RE LOOKING FOR

Must-haves

Experience (0 1 years)

  • Freshers or candidates with internship/volunteering experience in community work, education, health, or social sector.

Education language

  • Minimum 10th/12th pass (Graduation is a plus, not mandatory).
  • Fluency in Hindi; local dialect knowledge is a strong advantage.

Capabilities

  • Comfortable speaking with families and small community groups.
  • Willingness to travel locally and work in field conditions.
  • Basic smartphone skills (calls, WhatsApp, forms, photos).
  • Can follow instructions, maintain records, and meet reporting timelines.
