About the Role

The

Field Officer

is the key on-ground representative of Sol s ARC s Inclusive Education Project. The role involves

community mobilisation, school-level coordination, data collection, and follow-up with teachers and families of children with special needs (CwSN)

. The Field Officer supports the

District Coordinator

in implementing district-level plans, ensuring that all activities are executed on time, with accuracy and inclusivity.
This is a field-intensive role requiring regular travel to schools, homes, and community centres to monitor activities, collect data, and ensure that every child identified is linked to education and support services.

What We Need

We need a dedicated and compassionate Field Officer who can engage directly with communities, schools, and local authorities to implement inclusive education activities. You will ensure data accuracy, support training coordination, monitor school participation, and document inspiring stories of change.

Key Responsibilities


1. Community Mobilisation & School Linkages

Identify out-of-school CwSN and facilitate their enrolment in nearby schools.
Conduct home visits, interact with families, and counsel them on education benefits.
Support awareness drives, enrolment campaigns, and inclusive community meetings.
Maintain follow-up records of enrolled children and coordinate with teachers for regular attendance.

2. Data Collection & Reporting

Conduct surveys, assessments, and field verification using standard formats.
Ensure 100% of assessments are completed with verified and accurate data.
Maintain data registers and update trackers in coordination with the District Coordinator.
Submit weekly and monthly reports with evidence (photos, attendance, and acknowledgments).

3. Training & Capacity Building Support

Mobilise teachers for training sessions at cluster or block level.
Ensure full participation and maintain attendance and feedback records.
Support logistical arrangements and share quick feedback from participants.
Follow up post-training to observe adoption of inclusive practices in classrooms.

4. Material Distribution & Scheme Linkages

Support the distribution of accessible learning materials to all identified CwSN.
Collect beneficiary acknowledgments and maintain delivery documentation.
Help families connect to government schemes and track follow-ups.
Report any delivery or linkage issues to the District Coordinator promptly.

5. Documentation & Storytelling

Capture success stories and case studies with photos/testimonials.
Record field-level innovations, community involvement, and visible impact.
Contribute content for newsletters, presentations, or reports when requested.

Generalised KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

100% of assessments completed with accurate, verified data.
Minimum 50% of identified out-of-school CwSN enrolled in nearby schools; regular follow-ups maintained.
100% teacher participation in planned training sessions (attendance and feedback verified).
All stories and field documentation submitted with photos/testimonials each term.
100% of targeted CwSN receive materials; scheme linkages acknowledged and documented.
Weekly updates and monthly reports submitted within timelines with supporting evidence.

Demonstrable proficiency in:

Community mobilisation and awareness generation.
Data collection, entry, and simple reporting (Google Forms, Excel, etc.).
Coordinating school-level activities and teacher mobilisation.
Documentation (photos, case stories, attendance logs).
Communicating effectively with stakeholders.
Collaborate with other districts in Uttar Pradesh to align efforts and share best practices.
