Job Description

The role you will be taking on involves assisting in the development and management of sourcing strategies for Filtration to drive growth, cost efficiency, quality improvement, and achieving delivery goals. Your responsibilities will include managing the commodity in sourcing, supplier selection, and building relationships with key suppliers to enhance Eaton's purchases. You will work on direct material cost reduction projects that require global coordination with various departments such as Supply Chain, Product Management, Operations, and Engineering. Your tasks will revolve around developing, planning, monitoring, and executing direct material cost reduction projects using Eaton Standard Sourcing Process to meet cost reduction and project schedule targets. These projects are expected to deliver a NET 3% savings to support Supply Chain Management objectives. You will be instrumental in implementing and executing global commodity sourcing strategies to maximize Eaton's global Filtration spend, collaborating closely with the Global Category Manager to drive cost advantages. It will be essential to ensure that commodity strategies are aligned with the latest internal and external factors, market trends, and economic conditions, while garnering organizational consensus and alignment. In this role, you will negotiate and manage strategic supplier agreements, cost negotiations, and relationships specifically for EMEA. Collaboration with external suppliers, commodity managers, buyers, supply development engineers, manufacturing plants, and engineering teams globally will be pivotal for success. Your responsibilities will also include leading projects through a standard process, supplier identification and selection for New Product Development projects, maintaining supply continuity through risk identification and mitigation, conducting Supplier Business Reviews, and building positive relationships with suppliers while upholding Eaton's ethics and values. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited university - Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain experience with a focus on direct material sourcing for a global manufacturer and proven cost reduction outcomes Skills: - German Language fluency (B2 level or equivalent) - CPP or CPPM Certification - Project Management expertise - Buying and Strategic procurement experience - Strong understanding of key commodities and their business impact - Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities - Interpersonal skills for effective team leadership and collaboration - Results-oriented with a drive for continuous improvement and growth in Supply Chain roles - Proficient negotiator - Experience working globally with multi-national suppliers - Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to align with business objectives and drive success independently.,
