Job Summary

The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team in the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency. This is an entry-level position ideal for developing culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Service

• Assist in preparing ingredients, mise en place, and basic cooking tasks
• Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs accurately
• Support food service during busy periods

Kitchen Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
• Properly store food items according to hygiene standards
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies

Health, Safety & Hygiene

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times
• Ensure proper handling of food and equipment
• Report any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly

Team Support & Learning

• Work cooperatively with other kitchen staff
• Learn new cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
• Accept feedback and demonstrate willingness to improve skills

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Passion for food and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Culinary training or certificate preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
