You will be joining our culinary team in Visakhapatnam, India as a Commis 1, where you will assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation under the guidance of senior chefs. Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, following food safety regulations, and supporting senior chefs in various kitchen tasks. Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow, participating in menu planning, and managing inventory will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will be expected to use kitchen equipment effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to a positive kitchen atmosphere. To qualify for this position, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with higher certification in culinary arts being preferred. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is required, along with a good understanding of food safety regulations. Excellent communication skills, basic computer literacy for kitchen management tasks, and the physical ability to cook and lift heavy items are essential. Knowledge of cooking techniques, attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are also important.
