Your responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead, mentor, and develop a global collections team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance.
• Define and execute the collections strategy aligned with company objectives and market best practices.
• Set and monitor KPIs such as DSO, aging buckets, and collection efficiency; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Legal, and Customer Success to resolve escalated disputes.
• Represent the collections function in leadership meetings and contribute to broader financial planning and risk management.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee end-to-end collections processes across multiple geographies and currencies.
• Ensure adherence to credit policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Drive automation and digitization of collections workflows using BI tools, ERP systems, and RPA where applicable.
• Lead root cause analysis of collection delays and implement sustainable solutions.
• Manage relationships with external collection agencies and legal partners.

Process Improvement & Transformation

• Identify inefficiencies and lead transformation initiatives using Agile methodologies.
• Document and optimize as-is and to-be” processes using tools like Confluence and Jira.
• Collaborate with BI and IT teams to develop dashboards and real-time reporting tools.
• Champion a continuous improvement culture within the team and across the finance function.

Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of experience in credit control, collections, or AR operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success in managing global teams and improving collection KPIs in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Strong knowledge of international credit risk, multi-currency transactions, and global compliance standards.
• Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and automation tools (e.g., Power BI, RPA).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Agile project management and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and SOX compliance (if applicable).
