Collection Specialist

Key responsibilities include monitoring overdue accounts, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with collection laws, and communicating effectively with customers and internal departments like accounting. • Account Management: Monitor and identify accounts with overdue payments.
• Customer Communication: Contact debtors via phone, email, or mail to inform them of their outstanding balance and discuss payment options.
• Negotiation: Negotiate suitable payment plans or settlements with customers to ensure payments are made.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collection activities, communications, and transactions.
• Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and address customer queries related to billing.
• Reporting: Prepare and present reports on the status of collections to management.
• Compliance: Adhere to all relevant collection laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with departments like accounting and sales to reconcile discrepancies and update client information.
