📄 JOB DESCRIPTION (JD) PositionCNC / VMC Programmer LocationFactory – Hapur, Uttar Pradesh Reporting To Production Head / Owner Experience 3–6 years (Job shop / fabrication-based manufacturing preferred) QualificationITI / Diploma / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production 🎯 ROLE OBJECTIVE To program, set, and operate CNC Turning Machines and VMC efficiently, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and minimum rejection, while supporting repeatable and standardized production. 🛠️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1️⃣ CNC / VMC Programming & OperationPrepare and edit: CNC turning programs VMC programs Work on: Job setting Tool selection Offset setting Ensure dimensional accuracy as per drawing Optimize cycle time where possible 2️⃣ Drawing Interpretation & Machining Read and understand: Part drawings Tolerances Surface finish requirements Select suitable: Cutting tools Speeds & feeds Ensure correct machining sequence 3️⃣ Quality & Process Control Check parts using: Vernier Micrometer Bore gauge / dial gauge (as applicable) Reduce: Rejections Rework Maintain consistency in batch production 4️⃣ Machine & Tool Care Coordinate routine machine checks Ensure proper use of coolant & lubrication Inform maintenance for machine issues Maintain tool life and tool inventory record 5️⃣ Coordination & Documentation Coordinate with : Quality engineer Maintain Program backups Setup sheets Support new part development & trials 🧠 REQUIRED SKILLS Technical Skills ✔ CNC Turning programming ✔ VMC programming ✔ Fanuc controls (any) ✔ Strong drawing reading ability ✔ Hands-on job setting Practical Knowledge ✔ Machining of shafts, hubs, flanges, brackets ✔ Understanding of tolerances & fits ✔ Fabrication-support machining experience preferred
