Cluster Credit Manager

As a Cluster Credit Manager, your primary responsibility will be managing the quality of the credit portfolio. You will be involved in developing and implementing credit policy initiatives, coordinating with consumers to establish their credit worthiness, and ensuring compliance with company credit policies. Your role will contribute to achieving the larger organizational objectives of the bank in a sales-supportive and risk-averse manner. Key Responsibilities: - Underwrite secured and unsecured loan proposals based on established policies and processes within agreed SLAs, while managing business volumes effectively. - Supervise a team of credit underwriters, providing necessary guidelines and support. - Conduct personal discussions with customers to assess their credit worthiness. - Proactively manage front-end delinquencies by contacting customers upon first presentation. - Ensure completion of credit and KYC documents through telephonic, field, and collateral visits. - Collaborate with sales teams to achieve targets and meet SLAs effectively. - Uphold credit policy adherence to accepted standards. - Work closely with Collections to minimize net credit loss and delinquency metrics by identifying trends on delinquent customers and taking corrective actions through new sourcing strategies. - Review and approve credit proposals within your discretionary authority, escalating others to appropriate approval authorities while ensuring compliance with the bank's credit policy.
