Cloud Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect our cloud-based infrastructure and applications. You will play a critical role in safeguarding our company's and clients data and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Develop and enforce cloud security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud-hosted data and services.

Design and implement security architectures for cloud and hybrid systems, utilizing industry-standard tools such as firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), antivirus programs (e.g., Trend Micro, McAfee), and intrusion detection/prevention systems, Load Balancer, DNS etc.

Deploy and manage cloud security technologies, including but not limited to Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems (e.g., Splunk, Seceon, Fortinet), Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) solutions, and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platforms.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.

Stay up-to-date with cloud security trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge and contribute to requirement gathering.

Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices, and educate the team and organization on the same.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to cloud security architectures, procedures, and policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in security or a related field, with a proven track record of deploying and managing cloud security tools and infrastructures.

Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and architectures, particularly AWS, Azure, and GCP. Hands-on experience with their native security tools such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, and Google Cloud Security Command Center.

Proficiency in deploying and managing cloud-specific security technologies such as AWS WAF & Shield, Azure Firewall & Sentinel, and Google Cloud Armor.

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Certified Security or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Security Engineer are highly desirable.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Willingness to be on-call and respond to security incidents outside of standard working hours, as needed.
