Cloud Security Engineer

Cloud Security Role Description:

The pattern developers will be a key part of secure development optimisation team, working within an agile, DevSecOps software delivery environment. The role will involve working closely with a wide range of engineering stakeholders from various business areas across HSBC including Cybersecurity, liaising with them to understand the problem areas, defining pattern requirements, develop and deliver implementation patterns that optimise the integration between DevOps Engineering Platforms and Cyber tools.

• Experience in DevOps Engineering building CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
• Overall, 14 years of IT experience and 5 years of DevOps engineering experience.
• Experience in producing integration design artefacts.
• Experience with integration with APIs of operations or Cyber tooling (e.g. code scanning, Hashicorp Vault, Venafi).
• Experience in developing Infrastructure as Code.
• Sysadmin experience of Cyber or DevOps tooling.
• Experience in Cloud Engineering.
• Development experience in one or more of Java, Python etc
• Good knowledge of general infrastructure networking, operating systems etc.
• Good understanding of DevSecOps and how it maps into the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Passion for driving improvements in developer experience, integration, and automation of security tooling.
• Ability to self-manage, interact and collaborate effectively with mid management.
