About the Role



Newmark is seeking for an Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer with experience in Server infrastructure and Azure Cloud to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot programs, applications, updates, and security patches throughout the enterprise. The candidate will provide technical support and guidance to resolve users' computer and server hardware/software problems and provide operations and maintenance support of SCCM/MECM, patching and deployment, and updates, including troubleshooting issues when they arise on client workstation systems and distribution points.



Responsibilities



  • Provides technical support and guidance to resolve users' computer hardware and software problems.
  • Provide operations and maintenance support of SCCM/MECM, patching and deployment, and updates to include troubleshooting issues when they arise.
  • Perform troubleshooting of issues on client workstation systems and distribution points.
  • Administration of the server operating and email systems.
  • Oversees daily backup of server data files, media, and off-site storage administration.
  • Strong understanding of features and capabilities of the Microsoft Cloud Platform (Security, Firewalls, RedisCache, Key Vault, Service Bus, ASR, Networking, OMS, Blob Storage, Resource Groups, NSG, Application Insights, SQL Server, Sql DB, Load-Balancers).
  • Fulfill requests for ad-hoc reporting and information regarding client workstation systems.
  • Write technical support documents, develop technical approaches, and provides recommendations to improve upon current processes where necessary.
  • Communicates with users via phone, chat, email, and a support ticketing system to assess the scope of the problem and determine what resolution steps users have performed.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, particularly with implementing/troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Group Policy Preferences (GPPs).
  • Ability to troubleshoot application installations and end-user issues pertaining to usage of various desktop applications (Internet Explorer, Java, Office 2016, O365, Adobe products, and various antivirus suites).
  • Responsible for configuring, documenting, implementing, and troubleshooting the following software products; Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Email Systems, Backup products, Anti-Virus products, Anti-SPAM products, and Remote Access methods.
  • Lead our organization through cloud adoption and establish best practices.
  • Work closely with IT security to monitor the company’s cloud privacy.
  • Maintain logs of support services provided in the ticketing or other required systems.
  • Develops training materials and provide on-site training as requested.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field is optional but preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience working as server engineer at a mid-sized company is required.
