Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

As a key team member of the IT Cloud Infrastructure Operations team at Appex Innovations, you will play an active role in providing infrastructure support for business applications. Your responsibilities will include: - Deploying infrastructure products for application teams" use in AWS/GCP/Azure. - Documenting infrastructure standards and diagrams. - Participating in software releases. - Designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD workflows to accelerate software delivery while adhering to regulatory requirements. - Demonstrating proficiency in cloud management tools and services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and Virtual Machines. - Developing scripts and automation for repetitive infrastructure tasks. - Managing patches and firmware updates for IT infrastructure software and hardware. - Setting up new utilities for efficiently managing AWS services. - Conducting hands-on research on new AWS services available through AWS partnership. - Owning the technical solution and ensuring successful implementation. - Installing and configuring Tomcat/Apache, LDAP, Security realms, and performing patch installations and service packs. - Monitoring performance, tuning performance, analyzing Thread Dumps and Heap dumps, and troubleshooting logs and JAR, EAR, WAR files. Qualifications required for this role are: - 5+ years of proficiency in Linux OS (RHEL7, OEL7) administration and troubleshooting skills. - Familiarity with Linux OS package installation and configuration, File system and Services management. - Ability to identify potential problems, communicate effectively, and take necessary actions. - Experience in working with System and Log Monitoring tools. - Work experience in OS patching and fixing security vulnerabilities. - Experience with Bitbucket Cloud for Source Code Management is a plus. - Knowledge of MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL Database. - Knowledge in Load Balancing, Networking, Storage, and OS Security.
