This role involves a mix of hands-on accounting and strategic financial planning, including daily revenue/expense analysis, GST compliance, debtor-creditor management, margin analysis, and cash flow reporting. The position also involves administrative oversight across our Mumbai and Gujarat offices and regular interaction with foreign shipping lines—demanding excellent communication and coordination skills. Key Responsibilities (KRAs) Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance. Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns , TDS, and other statutory compliances. Handle GST audits, input/output reconciliation , and coordination with tax consultants. Monitor and analyze daily revenue, expenses, margins, and profitability trends. Oversee creditor and debtor accounts , payment cycles, and fund flow management. Prepare and review cash flow statements, P&L reports, and balance sheets periodically. Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounts and finance team. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for management review. Manage office administration for Mumbai and Gujarat offices. Liaise professionally with foreign shipping lines, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (Postgraduate preferred). Minimum 1+ years of professional experience in accounting and finance (shipping/logistics industry preferred). Strong knowledge of GST, statutory compliance, and accounting standards. Proven experience in financial analysis, MIS reporting, and team leadership. Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel.
