Cloud R Analyst — Role Summary

Experience Level: Junior (0–2 years)

Objective: Support and maintain stable, secure, and optimized ERP environments across Cloud (Azure or equivalent), On-Premise, and hosted platforms. Provide technical administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud & Infrastructure Support:

• Assist in administration and monitoring of ERP systems hosted in Azure or other cloud platforms.

• Support resource provisioning, backups, and system performance monitoring.

• Ensure compliance with cloud security and enterprise IT standards.

• System Administration & Maintenance:

• Apply regular patches, updates, and upgrades for ERP, Windows Server, and SQL Server environments.

• Monitor integrations, scheduled tasks, and background processes to maintain system reliability.

• Collaboration & Issue Resolution:

• Work with IT teams, application vendors, and end users to troubleshoot issues.

• Conduct root cause analysis and provide long-term solutions for recurring problems.

• Deployments & Configurations:

• Support ERP deployments, environment refreshes, and module rollouts.

• Configure and support third-party integrations.

• SQL & Automation Skills:

• Write and interpret SQL queries for reporting, validation, and issue resolution.

• Assist in database design, development, and maintenance activities.

• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.

• Perform regular data cleaning, validation, and quality checks.

• Support database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

• Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

• Experience with database monitoring tools. (ex. Solarwinds)

• Use PowerShell scripting to automate administration tasks.

• User & Security Administration:

• Manage accounts, roles, and permissions.

• Enforce security protocols across Cloud and On-Prem environments.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Exposure to ERP systems (Epicor ERP knowledge is advantageous).

• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP also valuable).

• Proficiency in SQL Server and PowerShell scripting.

• Understanding of enterprise IT architecture, security, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC).

Preferred Certifications (Optional but Valuable)

• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) – foundational cloud knowledge.

• Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) – cloud resource management.

• Database Fundamentals (DP-900 or MTA: Database) – SQL/database concepts.

• ITIL Foundation – service management best practices.

• Epicor ERP Foundation / Cloud certification (advantageous, but not required).
