About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and curious Cloud Security Research Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Research cloud security trends, new threat vectors, and evolving best practices.
• Evaluate cloud & AI security products and analyze their effectiveness against various attack scenarios.
• Review and support assessments of industry standards and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, etc.).
• Perform basic cloud security assessments and vulnerability analysis across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Prepare research reports, summaries, whitepapers, and technical presentations.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity experts and engineering teams to strengthen security controls.
• Explore automation, scripting, and AI-driven approaches for enhancing cloud security.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core security services.
• Understanding of fundamental security concepts like IAM, encryption, network security, and firewalls.
• Some exposure to security frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly.
• Eagerness to learn and a strong interest in modern cloud and security technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using cloud security tools or performing basic cloud security operations.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation or data analysis.
• Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Microsoft SC-900, or Google Cloud Security Engineer are a plus.
