About The Opportunity

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient and inpatient cardiology consultations—assessment, diagnosis, management plans and follow-up for ischemic, heart failure, arrhythmia and valvular disease.
• Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostics: TTE/TEE, ECG, Holter and stress testing; guide further investigation and treatment plans.
• Provide acute cardiac care in emergency and ICU settings, including ACS management, cardiogenic shock stabilization and post-procedural care.
• Lead or support interventional procedures in the cath lab where credentialed—coordinate multi-disciplinary care for PCI and post-procedure recovery.
• Document clinical encounters and treatment plans accurately in the hospital information system; ensure adherence to clinical governance and quality protocols.
• Mentor junior clinicians, contribute to case reviews, morbidity & mortality meetings and continuous medical education activities.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• MBBS with MD/DNB in Cardiology or equivalent postgraduate cardiology qualification.
• Proven consultant-level clinical experience in adult cardiology with strong OPD and inpatient skills.
• Hands-on competency in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography interpretation.
• Experience with cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention (if applying for interventional consultant role).
• Proficiency in ECG interpretation, Holter and stress test reporting.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  

Preferred

• Experience in cardiac device implantation and electrophysiology collaborations.
• Experience managing dedicated heart failure programmes or structured cardiac rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) / Electronic Medical Records.
