Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to support our fireproof paint application project at Jamnagar Gujarat GIDC. The ideal candidate will oversee surface preparation, paint/coating application processes, and ensure quality control as per project and safety standards. This role involves close coordination between our in-house technical team, contractors, and the client to ensure smooth and compliant execution of fireproof coating works.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise surface preparation, primer, and fireproof paint application activities on site.
• Inspect and verify that substrates, coatings, and application methods meet project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with the client, contractors, and internal teams for project scheduling and quality compliance.
• Monitor coating thickness, curing times, environmental conditions, and ensure adherence to manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.
• Ensure all safety measures are strictly followed during application.
• Assist in quantity estimation, site measurements, and material management.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting any site-related issues.
• Conduct regular site meetings to review progress and address challenges.
• Ensure timely completion of project milestones as per approved timelines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Experience: 2–3 years of site experience, preferably in industrial related projects.
• Prior experience with protective coatings, epoxy, or fireproof paint applications is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of surface preparation methods.
• Understanding of coating inspection parameters (DFT, adhesion, curing, etc).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Basic understanding of quality and safety standards.
• MS Office Suite

Soft Skills:

• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage site teams and ensure timely completion of work.
• Commitment to quality and safety compliance.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
