Civil Engineer | Port Infrastructure

Role & Responsibilities:

• Create and review designs for maritime structures (piers, wharves, breakwaters, jetties) and related site infrastructure (roadways, utilities).
• Conduct site surveys, soil investigations, and collect data to inform designs.
• Produce design calculations, technical specifications, and detailed drawings using CAD software.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources; manage construction activities and resolve technical issues.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines (geotechnical, structural, electrical).
• Ensure designs and projects comply with relevant local regulations, international standards, and best practices.
• Identify potential project risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
• Prepare engineering reports, study reports, and presentations for stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

• Expertise in marine engineering, coastal engineering, and structural analysis.
• Familiarity with factors affecting the marine environment, such as wave patterns, tides, and sediment transport.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and modeling software.
• Strong technical and commercial acumen for project profitability and timely delivery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
