Role & responsibilities Job Description: Network Engineer We are seeking an experienced L3 WiFi and NAC Management Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the WiFi and NAC (Network Access Control) infrastructure, focusing on user management, monitoring and reporting, troubleshooting, upgrades and patches, integration, security management, training and documentation, change management, performance optimization, and customer service branch operation governance and coordination. Responsibilities: 1. User Management: Create and manage user accounts for WiFi and NAC systems. Assign roles and permissions to users based on their responsibilities. Register and manage devices connected to the network. 2. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor network activity in real-time. Log security events and system activities for analysis. Generate reports on network activity and security incidents. 3. Troubleshooting: Resolve issues related to Cisco ISE NAC. Collaborate with the customer's IT team to identify and troubleshoot issues. Escalate complex issues to Cisco technical support if needed. 4. Upgrades and Patches: Apply regular software upgrades and patches to ensure security and functionality. Test upgrades and patches before deployment. 5. Integration: Integrate Cisco ISE NAC with other network management systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and identity management systems. Configure integrations to ensure seamless functionality of the systems. 6. Security Management: Configure Cisco ISE NAC to comply with security standards and regulations. Establish security policies and rules to protect the network. Manage security certificates and encryption keys. 7. Training and Documentation: Provide training to the customer's IT team on using and maintaining Cisco ISE NAC. Create documentation on the configuration, policies, and procedures of the solution. 8. Change Management: Manage changes to the Cisco ISE NAC solution, including testing and deployment. Document all changes and ensure compliance with the customer's change management process. 9. Performance Optimization: Monitor the performance of Cisco ISE NAC and make recommendations for optimization. Implement changes to enhance the solution's performance. 10. Customer Service Branch Operation Governance and Coordination: Coordinate with service providers of customer service branch operation vendors. Govern customer service branch operation service providers. Additional Responsibilities: User Access Review: Regularly review and verify user access rights to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. Remove or modify unnecessary or excessive access rights. Compliance Management: Ensure network elements are configured according to industry standards and organizational policies. Manage user access and implement necessary security measures. Network Audit: Support audits such as PCI, ISO, and internal/external audits for the organization. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in WiFi and NAC management. Proficiency in managing user accounts, access controls, and device registration. Strong knowledge of monitoring and reporting tools for network activity. Troubleshooting skills with experience in resolving Cisco ISE NAC issues. Familiarity with upgrades, patches, and integration of network management systems. Understanding of security management principles and best practices. Excellent documentation and training abilities. Change management experience in testing and deploying changes. Ability to optimize network performance and recommend improvements. Familiarity with customer service branch operation governance and coordination.
