Cisco Collaboration Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage

  Cisco Unified Communications

  solutions including:

• Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)

• Cisco Unity Connection

• IM & Presence

• Cisco Webex Suite (Meetings, Calling, Messaging)

• Cisco Expressway (MRA)

• Support

  Webex Calling (UCM Cloud or Dedicated Instance)

  integrations and troubleshooting.
• Configure and maintain

  Cisco voice gateways (CUBE, ISR, VG series)

  and

  SIP trunks

  .
• Implement and manage

  Cisco Contact Center (UCCX/UCCE/Webex Contact Center)

  solutions.
• Monitor collaboration systems and proactively resolve issues affecting service quality.
• Ensure systems are compliant with

  security, data privacy, and disaster recovery protocols

  .
• Create and maintain

  technical documentation

  , diagrams, and training materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Network, Security, IT Support) on deployments and escalations.
• Work with vendors and Cisco TAC for escalated troubleshooting and solution updates.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 3–7 years of experience

  managing Cisco UC/Collaboration solutions.
• Deep understanding of:
• Cisco CUCM, Unity, Expressway
• Webex Control Hub and Webex Suite
• VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, RTP)
• QoS and network fundamentals for voice/video
• Hands-on experience with

  Cisco CUBE, SRST, UCCX/UCCE

  .
• Proficiency with

  Cisco collaboration hardware

  (Room Kits, Webex Boards, Desk Pro).
• Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, REST APIs) is a plus.

Preferred Certifications: Not Mandatory

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

  – Collaboration

• Cisco Certified Specialist – Collaboration Core

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

  – Collaboration

• ITIL v4 Foundation

  or other ITSM framework knowledge

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving ability under pressure.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
