Job Summary:

Cisco ACI Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage

  Cisco ACI fabric

  , including APIC controllers, spine, and leaf switches.
• Configure and manage ACI components:

  Tenants

  ,

  VRFs

  ,

  Bridge Domains

  ,

  EPGs

  ,

  Contracts

  ,

  Policies

  , etc.
• Perform

  ACI integration

  with external Layer 3 networks, VMware vCenter, and L4-L7 services (load balancers, firewalls).
• Monitor and troubleshoot ACI environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and availability.
• Lead

  ACI upgrades

  , patching, and support lifecycle management of ACI hardware/software.
• Automate tasks and configurations using

  Python scripting

  ,

  REST APIs

  , or tools like Ansible.
• Maintain

  documentation

  , including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Work closely with security, cloud, and virtualization teams to support enterprise infrastructure strategies.
• Provide tier-3 support and participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 4+ years of experience

  in networking, with at least

  2 years hands-on

  with

  Cisco ACI solutions

  .
• Deep understanding of

  ACI architecture

  ,

  VXLAN

  ,

  overlay/underlay networking

  , and

  fabric discovery

  .
• Strong experience with

  Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches

  in ACI mode.
• Proficient in

  L2/L3 protocols

  (VLAN, STP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
• Experience in integrating ACI with

  VMware

  ,

  firewalls

  , and

  load balancers

  .
• Familiarity with

  ACI troubleshooting tools

  ,

  packet captures

  , and

  fault management

  .
• Experience in

  automation/scripting

  (Python, Ansible) and

  REST APIs

  for ACI fabric.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco certifications such as

  CCNP Data Center

  ,

  CCIE Data Center

  , or

  ACI Field Specialist

• Experience with

  ACI Multi-Site

  and

  ACI Multi-Pod

  architecture.
• Exposure to

  ACI integration with public cloud (AWS, Azure)

• Familiarity with monitoring tools like

  Cisco Nexus Dashboard Insights
