Experience: 15–20+ years (Garment Export Manufacturing)

Role Overview

The Head – Finance is responsible for leading and managing the company’s entire finance and accounts function, ensuring strong financial control, regulatory compliance, optimal working capital management, and strategic financial planning to support business growth, particularly in export-driven operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Control

• Oversee all accounting and finance activities including books of accounts, financial statements, and statutory records.
• Finalize annual accounts and manage Income Tax, GST/Sales Tax, Excise, TDS, PF, and ESI compliances and assessments.
• Implement robust systems and procedures to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.

Banking & Working Capital Management

• Manage cash and cheque operations, CC limits, overdraft limits, packing credit limits, bill discounting (order & LC based).
• Prepare CMA data and liaise with banks and financial institutions for fund-based and non-fund-based facilities.
• Handle renewal and enhancement of working capital limits.

Export Finance & Forex Management

• Manage foreign exchange transactions including forward contracts, hedging, and monitoring forex gains/losses.
• Coordinate pre-shipment and post-shipment export/import finance activities.
• Negotiate export documents and handle correspondence with buyers and buying houses for export, sampling payments, and commissions.

MIS, Reporting & Analysis

• Develop, implement, and analyze MIS reports for management decision-making.
• Prepare monthly P&L statements, cash flow, fund flow, and financial position reports for CFO and senior management.
• Conduct budget preparation, forecasting, variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions.

Cash Flow & Cost Control

• Ensure healthy cash flow and effective fund flow management.
• Monitor receivables and payables to ensure timely collections and payments.
• Control overheads, optimize operating costs, and drive procurement cost reductions.
• Monitor bad debts and implement measures to minimize financial risk.

Strategic Finance & Planning

• Support financial planning and long-term business strategy.
• Provide accurate financial forecasts and insights to management.
• Strengthen internal financial controls and governance frameworks.
