JOB DESCRIPTION CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
EKK Infrastructure is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company through its next phase of growth. The CEO will strengthen core operations in roads and highways while driving diversification into building construction and selectively into other infrastructure verticals. This role will own strategy, execution rigor, operating discipline, and commercial outcomes across a multisite footprintensuring predictable delivery, safety, quality, compliance, and stakeholder confidence.
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU?
As CEO, your key responsibilities will include:
Strategic Leadership & Vision
– Define, communicate, and execute a 3–5 year growth strategy (core highways + diversification to buildings/other infra), with clear OKRs and governance cadence.P&L Ownership
– Deliver revenue growth, margins, and cash flows; institute robust project selection, bid discipline, and riskreward analytics.Operational Excellence
– Ensure ontime, onbudget delivery across all EPC projects and sites; institutionalize SOPs, NCR reduction, quality gates, and safety culture (Zero Harm).Program & Portfolio Governance
– Drive a portfolio review rhythm (monthly/quarterly) with KPIs, earlywarning flags, and recovery plans for atrisk projects.Client, Government & Partner Engagement
– Build trusted relationships with NHAI, PWDs, lenders, and strategic partners; manage contracts, claims, and disputes pragmatically.Diversification & Business Development
– Build a buildings vertical (execution capability, vendor ecosystem, standards), and evaluate adjacencies (airports, bridges, urban infra) with clear investment cases.Digital, Data & Process
– Deploy project controls, scheduling, and cost systems (e.g., MS Project/Primavera, ERP) for visibility into cost, schedule, productivity, and cash; enable datadriven decisions.Supply Chain & Vendor Strategy
– Strengthen category management (materials, plant & machinery), vendor performance scorecards, and longterm pricing/availability security.People & Culture
– Build a highperformance leadership bench; drive org design, incentives, capability building (planning, QA/QC, contracts, EHS), and succession for site leadership.Compliance, ESG & Risk
– Ensure statutory compliance, contract compliance, ethical conduct; set carbonaware practices, circularity in materials, and community engagement.Board Reporting
– Provide transparent MIS on strategy, risk, performance, and capital allocation; recommend corrective actions and strategic bets.
IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS ROLE – YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in civil/mechanical engineering or construction management; MBA preferred.
- 20+ years of progressive leadership in EPC/infrastructure with multisite execution; at least 5–8 years in P&L ownership for projects >500 Cr portfolio.
- Proven track record delivering highways/bridges (NHAI/State PWD) and setting up/leading a buildings execution practice or equivalent diversification.
- Deep familiarity with contracts (EPC/HAM), bid management, claims/AR resolution, project financing basics, and stakeholder management with government clients.
- Strong command of project controls, cost engineering, scheduling, and supply chain for materials and heavy equipment.
- Demonstrated success in building senior teams, scaling orgs, and instituting governance/culture in fastgrowing infra businesses.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and external representation skills (clients, lenders, JV partners, regulators).

KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS
- Revenue growth, EBITDA %, working capital cycle, and cash conversion.
- Schedule adherence (SPI), cost performance (CPI), and rework/NCR trend reduction.
- Zero fatalities; LTIFR/TRIR improvement; audit scores and regulatory compliance.
- Bid success rate with target margins; claims recovery cycle time; DSO improvement.
- Buildings vertical rampup (order book, capability, margin profile) and successful entry into selected adjacencies.
- Leadership bench strength, attrition in critical roles, training hours/certifications, and engagement scores.
