Chief Engineer

General Responsibilities

Ø Conducts daily briefing of Shift EngineersØ Ensure all management reports for the resort are available timely as required.Ø Responsible to represent the Engineering department during daily morning operations meetings.Ø Responsible for daily operations of the Engineering department in an orderly manner.Ø Attend all training sessions scheduled in the department calendar.Ø Recruit, train and retain new employees.Ø Actively conduct monthly department meetings with team members, share the MOM with the General Manager and Head-HR discussing action points.Ø Follows immaculate grooming standards in line with the resort’s grooming policy.Ø Should be well versed in the departmental BRISOP (

Specific Responsibilities

Ø Responsible for the daily operations for the Engineering department.Ø Checks complaint management system on a daily basis and allocates manpower accordingly.Ø Prepares consumption report on all utilities including fuel, water and gas on a daily basis and shares it with GM office.Ø Ensures continuous supply of generator and boiler fuels.Ø Ensures continuous supply of LPG for kitchen requirements as applicable.Ø Monitors consumption supply of LPG gas for kitchen requirements as applicable.Ø Takes rounds with EHK on a daily basis to check the maintenance of guest rooms and public area.Ø Oversee the maintenance tasks, work orders and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion.Ø Respond to guest's maintenance needs promptly and ensure guests receive professional, efficient prompt and courteous service to resort standards.Ø Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the resort including physical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.Ø Installation and maintenance of all equipment related to HVAC, DG Sets, water treatment, fire safety, etc.Ø Ensure proper records are kept relating to all plant and equipment for the records including repair and service records.Ø Ensure compliance with the Local Authority requirements for all necessary documentsØ Prepares operating and CAPEX budget for Engineering and submits to Corporate Office for approvalsØ Ensure that stores have adequate stocks of materials, equipment and tools and are kept in a clean and safe environment.Ø Ensure that a periodic inventory of capital equipment is carried out and records updated.Ø Assists in the training and building of an efficient and professional team of employees Engineering Department.Ø Attend all staff and training meetings as and when directed by the superiors.Ø To carry out any other duties about the department as assigned daily by the management.Ø Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimise expenses.Ø Coordinate with the equipment suppliers for AMC and any outstanding issues.
