As the ideal candidate for the position of Secured MSME Rural Loan Product Manager, you will be tasked with owning and executing the go-to-market strategy for the loan product. Your responsibilities will include building the business from scratch by handling sourcing, credit underwriting, operations, and collections. You will be required to design and implement surrogate credit assessment frameworks tailored to informal customer segments with primarily undocumented income profiles. Your role will involve recruiting, training, and managing high-performing distribution and credit teams. It will be crucial for you to establish a branch and feet-on-street model to ensure deep market penetration. You will drive growth to achieve an AUM of 2000 Cr, focusing on maintaining portfolio quality and profitability throughout. To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in the MSME or secured lending space. Your expertise should encompass credit underwriting, sales, and collections. A proven track record of scaling a lending business to an AUM of 2000 Cr or more is highly desirable. You must possess a strong understanding of lending to informal and undocumented customer segments. It is essential that you have past experience working in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand as these states are the primary target geography for this role. Willingness to travel to Tier 2 - 4 towns within these states is a must. Proficiency or working knowledge of local/vernacular languages in these regions will be considered a significant advantage. Your success in this role will depend on your ability to ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk controls across the credit lifecycle. You will also be responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams to create customer-centric lending journeys.
