As a seasoned Chief Accountant at Chai Days Caf INDIA PVT LTD, you will play a critical role in leading and enhancing the accounting function of the company. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the preparation and finalization of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining internal controls, and leading a high-performing accounting team. Your deep expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and process optimization will contribute strategic insights to support the company's growth and financial integrity. You will supervise and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with statutory requirements and internal deadlines. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data through meticulous review of journal entries, adjustments, and accruals will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior leadership, offering clear analysis and insights. Leading a team of accountants, you will mentor and develop them, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Assigning responsibilities efficiently and ensuring the timely and accurate execution of all accounting functions will be essential. Conducting regular performance evaluations and facilitating professional growth through training and feedback will also be part of your responsibilities. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations. Serving as the primary contact for internal and external audits, you will coordinate documentation and respond to queries. Your involvement in the formulation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, as well as monitoring performance against budget, will be crucial in providing actionable recommendations for cost control and revenue optimization. Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and driving automation for enhanced accuracy and efficiency will be part of your role. Collaborating with cross-departmental teams to support financial planning, investment decisions, and business strategy will also be essential. Your ability to lead teams, manage complex reconciliations, and meet tight deadlines, paired with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, will be key to your success in this role. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. - Minimum of 4 to 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role. - Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting frameworks. - Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) and advanced Excel skills. - Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex reconciliations, and meet tight deadlines. - Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
