Chemical Analyst

Job description:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Chemical Analyst to join our team for testing and analyzing building materials. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in laboratory testing of construction materials such as cement, concrete, mortar, aggregates, admixtures, and other related materials, ensuring compliance with relevant national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct chemical analysis of various building materials including cement, concrete, fly ash, admixtures, aggregates, and other construction-related substances.

Perform qualitative and quantitative testing using standard protocols (e.g., IS, ASTM, BS, EN standards).

Prepare detailed test reports with accurate interpretation of results.

Ensure all tests are performed in accordance with applicable safety and quality control procedures.

Maintain records of test results and sample tracking documentation.

Participate in method validation and development of new testing procedures when required.

Assist in maintaining ISO/IEC 17025 or NABL accreditation compliance (if applicable).

Collaborate with other departments like R&D, QA/QC, and production teams for technical support.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related discipline.

Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in chemical analysis, preferably in the construction or materials testing industry.

Strong understanding of chemical properties of construction materials.

Familiarity with national and international testing standards (IS, ASTM, EN).

Good analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Proficient in MS Office and laboratory management software.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Good documentation and report-writing skills.

Preferred Skil ls:

Experience in a NABL-accredited lab (ISO/IEC 17025).

• Knowledge of quality management systems.
