Job Description

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the Chef de Partie.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in your section.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and to the required specifications.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or needs to the Chef de Partie.
  • Train and guide commis chefs and junior team members.
  • Contribute to menu development and provide input on new recipes.
  • Handle equipment and tools safely, ensuring proper maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Culinary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in a similar role or kitchen setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Passion for food quality and presentation.
Skills:
  • Expertise in a specific kitchen section (eg, sauces, pastries, grill).
  • Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
