Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant based in Mumbai to manage the financial operations, taxation, and statutory compliance of our subsidiary company in Tanzania. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, timely tax filings, and adherence to local Tanzanian regulatory requirements while coordinating with local teams remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate books of accounts for the Tanzanian subsidiary in accordance with IFRS and local Tanzanian regulations.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
Handle tax filings, VAT, and statutory returns as per Tanzanian laws.
Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements including TRA (Tanzania Revenue Authority), NSSF, and other statutory bodies.
Coordinate with local auditors, consultants, and in-country team for smooth financial operations.
Prepare management reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting for the subsidiary.
Support cross-border transactions, intercompany reconciliations, and transfer pricing documentation.
