As an Accountant based in Mumbai responsible for managing the financial operations, taxation, and statutory compliance of the subsidiary company in Tanzania, your role will involve the following: - Maintain accurate books of accounts for the Tanzanian subsidiary following IFRS and local Tanzanian regulations. - Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings efficiently. - Handle tax filings, VAT, and statutory returns in compliance with Tanzanian laws. - Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements such as TRA (Tanzania Revenue Authority), NSSF, and other statutory bodies. - Collaborate with local auditors, consultants, and the in-country team to ensure smooth financial operations. - Prepare management reports and contribute to budgeting and forecasting for the subsidiary. - Support cross-border transactions, intercompany reconciliations, and maintain transfer pricing documentation.
