Job Summary:
This role demands a strategic and hands-on leader who will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. The CFO will lead functions including finance, investor relations, treasury, commercial and legal affairs, compliance, and will play a pivotal role in driving organic and inorganic growth, including IPO readiness and capital market activities. Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Leadership:
Develop and implement the company's long-term financial strategy in line with its overall business goals. Partner with the senior leadership on growth planning and decision-making. Drive business transformation and value creation through strategic finance initiatives. 2. Financial Management:
Oversee end-to-end financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, P&L management, and statutory reporting. Maintain integrity and accuracy of financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Optimize capital structure, manage working capital and drive improvements in financial performance. 3. Operational Efficiency:
Build and strengthen internal finance operations and systems. Supervise functions such as payroll, accounts payable/receivable, procurement, and cost control. Enhance financial processes through automation and best practices. 4. Risk Management:
Identify key financial risks and implement mitigation strategies (FX, credit, interest rate, etc.). Ensure strong governance, compliance with financial laws, and implementation of internal controls. Oversee insurance and corporate risk coverage. 5. Stakeholder Management & Investor Relations:
Act as the primary liaison with banks, financial institutions, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies. Prepare and present financial results, business outlooks, and strategy to stakeholders and potential investors. Build a strong investor relations strategy to support fund-raising and market positioning. 6. IPO Preparation & Capital Markets:
Drive financial and operational readiness for IPO, including regulatory compliance, governance structure, and reporting frameworks. Work closely with external advisors, investment bankers, and legal counsel to lead listing and public market strategies. Ensure alignment of corporate structure and investor expectations with IPO objectives. 7. Commercials, Legal & Compliance:
Oversee tax planning and compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws. Manage legal contracts, litigation risks, and regulatory filings. Provide commercial insights and support M&A due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration. 8. MIS & Reporting:
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of internal MIS and statutory reports. Lead group-level reporting, financial analytics, and performance monitoring. Manage the audit process and ensure smooth year-end closing. 9. Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and scale the finance and legal teams, fostering a high-performance culture. Define KPIs, provide continuous feedback, and conduct performance reviews. Build leadership succession and professional development plans. Qualifications and Requirements:
Mandatory: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification. 1215 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles. Prior experience in a services-based industry is preferred. Proven track record in investor relations, and IPO preparation. Deep understanding of corporate finance, legal compliance, risk management, and financial regulations. Expertise in financial ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent. Exceptional stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
