Certified Public Accountant

Role Overview: As a Senior Accountant at the company, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations by handling accounting, compliance, analysis, reporting, and reconciliations. You will play a key role in optimizing financial procedures and workflows with a focus on technology and automation. Understanding Geodis underlying business transactions will be crucial in applying accounting principles effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Focus heavily on cash and prepaid accounting areas, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation concepts. - Develop and implement optimized financial procedures and workflows, emphasizing technology and automation. - Analyze complex data, identify root causes of issues, and devise effective solutions. - Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in financial and accounting processes. - Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business needs and devise efficient solutions. - Manage projects, timelines, and resources effectively. - Communicate findings effectively with various stakeholders. - Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and GEODIS accounting policies in recording accounting transactions. - Assist in the implementation of new systems, tools, processes, and procedures to enhance department effectiveness and efficiency. - Regularly review the effectiveness of implemented changes and make adjustments as necessary. - Support in updating accounting documentation and overall department goals. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably in public accounting with a recognized firm. - CPA or CPA candidate is preferred. - Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. - Knowledge of GP Dynamics or recent experience with big ERPs like Oracle or SAP is preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. - Experience with Power BI is a plus. - Ability to identify and implement process improvements focusing on technology and automation. - Strong knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. - Analytical mindset with critical thinking abilities. - Ability to work independently and solve problems in a large global company environment. - Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively engage with various stakeholder groups. - Comfort in a fast-paced environment and willingness to adapt to changes to support Geodis" business. - Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through in resolving accounting matters. - Positive attitude, eagerness to learn continuously, and a proactive approach to challenges.,
