Description
Centre Manager
The Centre Manager is the overall in-charge of the Training Centre (TC) and is the key operational driver for the DDU-GKY project's success. This role is responsible for ensuring the project runs in strict adherence to the DDU-GKY Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), from candidate mobilisation to post-placement tracking, to achieve all mandated targets (Mobilisation, Training, Certification, and Placement).
Core Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Compliance (DDU-GKY)
100% SOP Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all DDU-GKY Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines for all centre activities.
Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring the Training Centre (TC) and hostel facilities meet DDU-GKY infrastructure standards.
Inspection Management: Serve as the main contact for all inspections (CTSA, SRLM, MoRD, etc.) and ensure prompt resolution of non-compliances.
Documentation & MIS: Oversee maintenance of physical records and guarantee timely, accurate data entry into DDU-GKY portals (Kaushal Panjee, MIS).
2. Mobilization and Training Delivery.
Target Achievement: Meet all batch-wise targets for mobilisation, attendance, and successful course completion.
Mobilisation: Lead the team to identify, counsel, and enroll eligible rural youth according to DDU-GKY criteria.
Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality training delivery, effective assessments, and proper curriculum implementation.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and manage all centre staff (trainers, MIS, mobilisation) to maintain a goal-oriented environment.
3. Placement and Post-Placement Support.
Placement Target: Coordinate placement efforts, build strong employer ties, and ensure a minimum of 70% placement for certified candidates.
Post-Placement Tracking (PPWS): Implement robust support and tracking for placed candidates during the mandatory 3 to 6-month retention period.
Grievance Handling: Effectively and transparently resolve all student and staff grievances.
Education: Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline (Social Sciences, Management, or Rural Development preferred).
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the skill development sector - DDU GKY, livelihood, or state mission projects .
DDU-GKY Expertise: Mandatory proven experience as a Centre Manager/Head on a DDU-GKY or similar government-funded skill development project.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel for MIS) and experience with government skill development portals (SDMS, Kaushal Panjee).
Language: Fluency in English, Hindi, and knowledge of regional language will be an added advantage
Compensation & Benefits: The salary range will be Rs.20,000-Rs.25,000 per month, though it may be higher for candidates with outstanding potential
