Category Manager

As a Product/Category Lead for Luggage in Mumbai, as a Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all luggage categories. Your role will involve driving growth, profitability, and market share for the brand. You will play a crucial part in developing and executing strategic initiatives to ensure the success of our product lines in a highly competitive market. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy aligned with overall company objectives. - Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and the competitive landscape. - Create annual and long-term business plans, including product development, pricing, and promotional strategies. - Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring an innovative and competitive product portfolio. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, merchandising, and marketing, to bring innovative and market-leading products to market. - Set and achieve financial targets for the category, including revenue, margin, and inventory management. - Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements. - Build & lead a high-performing team, providing guidance and support. - Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the category team. - Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion, including new product lines, geographic markets, and customer segments. - Stay informed about industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus. - Proven experience of at least 8 years in a category/product marketing role within the luggage or consumer retail industry. - Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Demonstrated success in product development, launch, and management. - Track record of achieving financial targets and driving business growth.
