Job Summary: The Carpet Finishing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the finishing operations in the carpet manufacturing process. This role ensures that all carpets are finished to the required quality standards, production targets are met, and safety and operational procedures are followed. The supervisor manages a team of finishing operators and coordinates with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely order completion. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily finishing operations including shearing, brushing, backing, embossing, latexing, drying, trimming, and packaging. Plan and assign workloads, monitor production schedules, and adjust as necessary to meet targets. Ensure carpets meet quality control standards and customer specifications. Coordinate with quality control, dyeing, and tufting departments to ensure seamless production flow. Monitor and maintain all finishing equipment; schedule routine maintenance and repairs as needed. Train and mentor finishing staff on proper techniques, safety, and operational procedures. Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and downtime logs. Enforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, and labor regulations. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Resolve any production issues or delays in a timely and effective manner. Required Skills & Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in textiles or manufacturing preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in carpet manufacturing, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of carpet finishing processes, machinery, and quality standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues. Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with automated finishing lines or modern textile machinery. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Bilingual (depending on workforce demographics).
