Capex (Spares and Service) (Buyer)

Purpose:

The Capex Buyer (Spares and Service) serves as the operational executor responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing procurement activities for mechanical consumables and production materials to support efficient business operations.

Primary Role

The Capex Buyer (Spares and Service) is responsible for:

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure timely procurement.

Assisting in the execution of shutdown planning activities in coordination with the procurement team and business users.

Supporting the implementation of procurement policies and procedures as outlined by the Head of Section.

Conducting supplier evaluations and negotiations to secure competitive pricing and terms.

Maintaining accurate procurement of documentation and reports.

1. Operational Procurement

o Execute procurement strategies for Capex (Spares and Service) under guidance from the Head of Section.

o Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement activities for production materials.

o Maintain and update procurement documentation to ensure accuracy and transparency.

2. Supplier and Cost Management

o Conduct supplier performance evaluations and negotiate optimal pricing and terms.

o Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement without compromising quality standards.

o Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives as directed by the Head of Section

3. Risk Mitigation and Compliance

o Follow risk management strategies and ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory policies.

o Maintain procurement processes aligned with quality management systems.

o Assist in mitigating risks that may impact procurement timelines or quality.
