1. Supplier Coordination: Establish and maintain strong relationships with buffalo suppliers and mandis. Coordinate daily with suppliers to ensure a consistent and reliable supply of buffalo as per production planning requirements.
2. Daily Buffalo Procurement: Visit buffalo mandis as required to assess the availability and quality of buffalo for procurement. Work closely with mandi representatives to source the required number of buffalo to meet daily production targets.
3. Competitor Supply Analysis: Continuously monitor the supply base of competitors in the industry. Analyse and report on competitor buffalo procurement strategies, supplier relationships, and animal numbers to stay ahead in the market.
4. Payment Management: Ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers for the procured buffalo. Collaborate with the finance department to process payments in compliance with company policies and agreements.
5. MIS Preparation: Compile daily Management Information System (MIS) reports detailing buffalo procurement, supplier performance, and any relevant insights. Present MIS reports to the procurement team for strategic decision-making.
6. Grievance Resolution: Act as a point of contact for suppliers' grievances and concerns. Address and resolve issues promptly to maintain positive relationships and smooth procurement operations.
7. Quality Assurance : Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure that the procured buffalo meets established quality standards. Monitor and report any discrepancies or quality issues.
8. Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, forecast procurement needs, and optimize the procurement process for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
