Job Title: Canteen Cashier
Company Name: DM Hospital Job Description: The Canteen Cashier will be responsible for managing cash transactions, handling food sales, and providing excellent customer service to both hospital staff and visitors. The role involves operating the cash register, processing payments, and ensuring the canteen area remains clean and welcoming. The Cashier will also assist in inventory management and may be required to help serve food when necessary.Key Responsibilities: - Greet customers and take food orders - Operate cash register and process payments accurately - Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the canteen area - Ensure proper stock of food and beverage items - Assist with inventory control and ordering supplies - Provide excellent customer service and address any customer inquiries or complaints - Assist in food preparation and serving as needed - Comply with health and safety regulations Skills and Tools Required: - Strong numerical skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling financial transactions - Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays - Experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required - Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is advantageous - Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
