Design, model, and draft 3D components and assemblies for UAV structures, payload mounts, and mechanical systems.
Develop lightweight and manufacturable drone parts using advanced materials such as carbon fiber and composite plastics.
Create detailed 2D technical drawings, GD&T annotations, and assembly documentation for production.
Collaborate with electronics, propulsion, and aerodynamics teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Optimize designs for performance, weight reduction, manufacturability, and ease of maintenance.
Conduct stress, thermal, and vibration simulations to validate design reliability.
Coordinate with vendors for fabrication, prototyping, and component sourcing.
Maintain revision control of CAD files and ensure compliance with internal design and quality standards.
Support R&D and production teams with design updates, tooling modifications, and prototype iterations.
Participate in field testing and provide feedback for mechanical improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in CAD design for UAVs, robotics, or precision mechanical systems.
Proficiency in software such as
SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360
.
Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, 3D printing), and tolerancing.
Experience in
FEA (Structural, Modal, Thermal)
simulation and validation preferred.
Knowledge of aerostructure design, propulsion integration, and payload balancing is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, visualization, and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple design projects under tight timelines with attention to detail.
