Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives in IT services, resource augmentation, and project-based engagements. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in bringing fixed-cost projects, generating leads via platforms like Upwork, and placing skilled tech resources with global clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in custom software development, AI automation, and cloud services.
  • Generate and manage leads through platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, Clutch, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
  • Draft and submit compelling proposals, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and lead contract negotiations with prospective clients.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of clients requiring staff augmentation or project-based delivery.
  • Collaborate with the delivery and technical teams to scope and price engagements.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets while maintaining high client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in a CRM tool / workspace

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of business development experience in the IT services industry, preferably with a software services/consulting firm.
  • Proven success in closing fixed-cost projects and resource placement deals.
  • Experience in managing and growing profiles on freelance platforms (preferably Upwork Top Rated or Plus).
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC, estimation, resource planning, and tech stack positioning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proposal writing, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the entire sales cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into the US/UK/UAE markets or working with international clients.
  • Prior exposure to AI/ML, DevOps, or automation tools is a plus.
  • Established network of clients or consultants in the tech outsourcing ecosystem.
