Job Description

Summary:

As a Business Data Analyst, you will dive deep into various initiatives to uncover actionable insights to measure and improve our forecasts for customer demand. The role requires technical agility with deep understanding of forecasting methods and models. This position works alongside product analytics, data engineering, strategy and finance teams to deliver the best forecasts for customer demand at the most granular scale.

Responsibilities:

Own end to end demand forecasting for few product / group lines within the business
Create, define and optimize end to end forecasting process to drive strategic thinking and cross-functional alignment around data-driven approaches to optimizing marketing
campaigns
Design new methodologies, experiments, & dashboards to ensure forecast accuracy improves year over year.
Analyze results and generate insights that inform continued iteration of models / improvement in business results
Provide guidance and thought partnership to Business leaders and stakeholders on how best to harness available data in support of critical business needs and goals.
Lead weekly meetings with leadership to present the overall demand/supply plan (and gaps to the plan), highlight assumptions, risks and mitigation plans incorporated in the plan and provide recommendations to organizational leaders

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject (B.Tech/B.Com/BE/BSc); Masters preferred
3+ years of experience working in an analytics, strategy or planning role
Excellent problem-solving skills and end to end quantitative thinking
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key deadlines
Outstanding communications skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues
Ability to tell stories with data, educates effectively, and instills confidence in recommendations, motivating others to act on them

Skills:

Advanced Proficiency in Excel/GSheets
Advanced Proficiency in SQL/BigQuery
Experience in statistical/mathematical/financial modeling
[Preferred] Experience in regression models or time series forecasting
Logical reasoning and comfortable with numbers
Fluency in English
Experience in writing Python codes/scripts (preferred
