Business Development (Sales) Internship

As an intern at our funded series startup in the education industry, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve nurturing leads, qualifying leads, closing deals, acquiring product/service knowledge, setting appointments, managing CRM, collaborating with marketing and sales teams, exceeding performance metrics, and engaging with leads. You will be responsible for nurturing leads by following up on inquiries and maintaining communication through various channels such as phone calls and emails. Additionally, you will qualify leads based on established criteria and gather essential information to understand their needs and buying intent. Collaborating closely with the field sales team, you will facilitate the closing process, including negotiations and overcoming objections. It is crucial to acquire in-depth knowledge of our products and services to effectively communicate their value propositions to prospects. Another key aspect of your role will be scheduling meetings and appointments for the field sales team based on qualified leads. You will also be required to update and maintain accurate records of interactions with leads in the customer relationship management (CRM) system. Furthermore, you will coordinate with the marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment in lead generation efforts and strategies. Meeting and exceeding individual and team-based sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) will be essential to your role. Lastly, you will be initiating outbound calls to potential customers from company-generated leads.
