Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive revenue growth

    by acquiring and managing a portfolio of commercial and personal P&C insurance clients across targeted industries and geographies.
  2. Develop and execute strategic sales plans

    to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, focusing on premium generation and client retention.
  3. Identify client needs and risk exposures

    , and recommend tailored insurance solutions including property, general liability, auto, workers compensation, and specialty lines.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships

    with clients, underwriters, and carrier partners to ensure competitive pricing, coverage optimization, and seamless service delivery.
  5. Lead end-to-end sales cycles

    , including prospecting, needs analysis, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams

    including underwriting, claims, and account management to ensure high-quality client onboarding and ongoing support.
  7. Stay informed on market trends

    , regulatory changes, and competitor offerings to position the firms value proposition effectively.
  8. Maintain accurate records

    of sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions using CRM tools and reporting dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field (Certifications like IRDAI, CPCU, or ARM are a plus).
  • 3–7 years of proven experience in

    P&C insurance sales

    , preferably in a brokerage or carrier environment.
  • Strong understanding of

    commercial and personal lines insurance products

    , underwriting principles, and risk management practices.
  • Demonstrated success in

    meeting or exceeding sales targets

    , with a track record of building long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent

    negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills

    , with the ability to communicate complex insurance concepts clearly.
  • Strategic thinker with a

    consultative sales approach

    and a passion for solving client challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM platforms (LeadSquared, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment.
