Job Description

Role Objective

This role is accountable for securing job opportunities for Cultus learners by building strategic employer partnerships, identifying hiring needs, and converting those into successful placements. It combines the rigor of business development with the heart of impact-driven talent placement.


Key Responsibilities

Employer Acquisition & Partnerships

  • Build and expand partnerships with companies in target sectors (IT, Cloud, Data, BFSI, HR, 5G)
  • Engage directly with HR heads, business leaders, and hiring managers to understand recruitment needs
  • Initiate and negotiate placement MoUs, hiring drives, and recruitment collaborations
  • Organize job fairs, employer-led webinars, and industry panels


Placement Enablement

  • Identify job-fit learners from training cohorts and match them to employer requirements
  • Coordinate resume sharing, interview scheduling, and follow-ups
  • Track hiring outcomes, offer letters, and joining confirmations


Career Readiness Support

  • Collaborate with the learner services team to ensure students are interview- and job-ready
  • Support learners with LinkedIn profile building, resume crafting, and basic workplace readiness
  • Collect employer feedback to feed into training improvements


Strategy, Reporting & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain CRM and dashboards to track partnerships, hiring trends, and placement metrics
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Program Managers, Trainers, Learner Services, Marketing etc)
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports on hiring partner pipeline, interviews, and outcomes


Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Partnerships or Placements
  • Prior experience in skilling, EdTech, HR consulting, or recruitment preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA/PGDM preferred


Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication in English and Tamil
  • Proven track record in B2B relationship building and account management
  • Strong understanding of the hiring landscape across Tier 1–3 cities
  • Organized, target-driven, and collaborative
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Excel/Google Sheets
