Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Business Development & Marketing Executive (entry-level) to help expand our client base in the e-publishing space. You will be responsible for generating leads, reaching out to potential clients, pitching our digital publishing services, and working with the marketing team to design strategies that attract and convert new customers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
· Research and identify potential clients (publishers, authors, educational institutions, corporate content creators) who could benefit from our e-publishing services.
· Use tools like LinkedIn, email, telephone, and social media to reach out to prospects.
· To know SCO & SCM
· Qualify leads to determine whether they’re a good fit, and maintain a structured pipeline in the CRM.
Market Research
· Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs.
· Prepare insights and reports about new market segments and opportunities.
Client Outreach & Pitching
· Prepare and deliver presentations / proposals to potential clients
· Participate in meetings, networking events, or virtual calls to present the value proposition of our e-publishing services.
· Follow up with prospects through email or calls, addressing their needs, objections, and converting them into clients.
Collaboration with Marketing
· Work with the marketing team to design and support campaigns for lead generation (content, email marketing, webinars, etc.).
· Provide feedback from client conversations to shape marketing collateral, messaging, and strategy.
Sales Administration
· Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, meetings, and sales pipeline in the CRM system.
· Prepare routine sales / BD reports: number of leads contacted, conversion rate, pipeline status, etc.
Client Relationship Building
· Build and nurture relationships with early-stage prospects to create trust and long-term engagements.
· Ensure smooth handover of newly acquired clients to the operations / delivery team once the deal is closed.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, English, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: Fresh graduates (0–1 year). Internship experience in sales, BD, or marketing is a plus.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable doing cold outreach and client pitch.
Research & Analytical Skills: Ability to carry out market research, understand industry trends, and generate business insights.
Organization: Strong time-management skills; ability to manage multiple prospects and follow-ups.
Motivation & Initiative: Self-starter, proactive, goal-oriented, willing to cold call / cold email.
Tech Savvy: Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), CRM tools; comfortable learning new sales / marketing software.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate with marketing, editorial, and operations teams.
