About the Role

Business Development Manager (BDM)

HR Managers, IT Managers, Procurement Teams, and Vendor Managers

sales and client development


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and acquire

    new client companies

    in the U.S. or international markets for staffing and recruitment partnerships.
  • Develop relationships with

    decision-makers

    — HR Directors, Talent Acquisition Heads, IT Managers, and Procurement Leads.
  • Understand client hiring needs, collect

    job requirements (JDs)

    , and ensure accurate handover to the internal recruiting team.
  • Negotiate

    terms of business

    , including placement fees, pay rates, and contract conditions.
  • Collaborate with recruitment and delivery teams to ensure timely candidate submissions and successful placements.
  • Maintain a

    healthy client pipeline

    , track progress, and report weekly on leads, proposals, and closures.
  • Manage existing client accounts to increase repeat business and cross-sell additional staffing solutions.
  • Stay updated with

    industry trends, market movements, and hiring demands

    in key sectors (IT, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly

    revenue and placement targets

    .


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of new client accounts onboarded per month
  • Number of active job requirements acquired
  • Monthly/quarterly revenue generated from placements
  • Repeat business and client satisfaction rate
  • Conversion rate from leads to signed agreements


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum

    2–5 years of experience

    in staffing, recruiting, or B2B sales (U.S. or international market preferred).
  • Proven track record of

    acquiring and managing clients

    in recruitment or manpower outsourcing.
  • Excellent

    communication, negotiation, and presentation

    skills.
  • Strong understanding of

    contract staffing, permanent placement, and recruitment models (W2, C2C, 1099)

    .
  • Proficient with

    LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, ZoomInfo

    , or similar lead generation tools.
  • Comfortable working in

    U.S. or global time zones

    .
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and CRM management skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with

    U.S. staffing companies

    or

    offshore recruitment firms

    .
  • Understanding of

    ATS/CRM tools

    like Ceipal, Bullhorn, or Zoho Recruit.
  • Experience with

    MSA, SOW, and vendor management systems (VMS)

    .
  • Ability to manage a small team of junior sales executives or account coordinators.


Compensation

  • Base Salary:

    ₹40,000 – ₹1,00,000/month (depending on experience)
  • Commission:

    Attractive performance-based incentives (5–20% of profit per placement)
  • Earning Potential:

    ₹1.5–₹5 Lakh+ per month with consistent performance
