About the Company

Tea Linkers is a fast-growing packaged tea brand committed to delivering high-quality tea products through an extensive dealer and retailer network. We are expanding our reach in Samastipur and looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive sales growth, manage relationships, and oversee the local sales team effectively.

Position Overview

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and expanding the sales network of Tea Linkers in Samastipur through dealers, distributors, and retailers. The candidate should have strong technical understanding of mobile-based tracking applications used to monitor field sales teams, ensuring discipline, productivity, and transparency in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand the dealer and retailer network in Samastipur and surrounding areas.
  • Drive primary and secondary sales to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Recruit, train, and monitor field sales executives.
  • Track and manage the sales team’s daily activities using GPS/location tracking applications and ensure 100% compliance.
  • Regularly visit dealers, distributors, and retailers to maintain strong business relationships.
  • Identify new market opportunities and plan territory expansion.
  • Resolve market issues, handle competitor analysis, and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Maintain proper sales records, prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports, and submit them to the management.
  • Ensure product visibility, placement, and execution of promotional activities at retail counters.
  • Ensure discipline and timely reporting from the sales team.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience in FMCG sales/business development (tea industry experience preferred).
  • Strong ability to build and manage dealer & retailer relationships.
  • Technical proficiency in using mobile tracking apps, CRM tools, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong leadership, people management, and team motivation skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in Business Administration/Commerce/Marketing (MBA preferred).
  • 3–6 years of FMCG sales experience, preferably in packaged tea/beverages.
  • Must be familiar with tracking & monitoring applications for field sales teams.
  • Should have a strong network in the local market of Samastipur and nearby areas.
  • Own two-wheeler and valid driving license is mandatory.

Remuneration

  • Competitive salary package (Fixed + Performance-based Incentives).
  • Travel and mobile allowances as per company policy.
