About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with 7–12 years of proven success in outbound sales, particularly in selling technology solutions to retail or consumer-focused businesses. The ideal candidate will be based in Mumbai, bringing with them a strong professional network in the retail ecosystem and the ability to leverage these relationships to generate new business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive outbound business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities with retail chains, consumer brands, and strategic partners across India and relevant international markets.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, including prospecting, pitching, negotiations, and deal closures.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with C-level executives and senior decision-makers within the retail and partner ecosystem.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business challenges and tailoring technology solutions to meet their objectives.
  • Acquire new strategic clients and partnerships through consultative selling and innovative go-to-market approaches.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and solution demos, backed by strong technical and business understanding.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Technical, and Customer Success) to align solutions with client requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, trade shows, and networking events to expand brand visibility and strengthen relationships.

 

Qualifications & Experience


  • 7–8 years of business development or B2B sales experience, preferably in technology solution selling (retail tech, SaaS, enterprise software, or related domains).
  • Based in Mumbai with a strong professional network in the retail industry.
  • Proven track record in outbound sales and successfully managing the entire sales cycle.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver consultative, solution-oriented pitches.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience working with large retail chains, consumer brands, or system integrators.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, digital transformation, and customer engagement technologies.
  • Existing connections with retail partners and technology vendors across India and abroad.
